FAQs

Do I need to purchase a new planner for the following year?

Our digital planners mimic traditional paper planners and you will need to purchase a new one for the next year.

However, we also offer an undated planner which you can re-use each year by manually adding the dates at the beginning of each year.

Alternatively, we also offer mid year planners that cover a whole year from July to June of the next year if you are thinking of purchasing a planner in the middle of the year.

Can the digital planners be printed?

Yes.

While the planners have been designed to use with an iPad/tablet and a notetaking app, you may also print the planner pages.

Since the templates are sized for iPads/tablets, you may need to scale the page in your printing settings to fit the size you want.

Can I re-sell your planners?

Why won’t my file unzip on my iPad?

Your iPad might not be able to unzip if there is not enough space on your device, bad internet connection or if the file is too large. If your device is having a hard time unzipping, you might have more luck unzipping your file on your computer first, then transferring your files to your iPad after.

You can also message us as [email protected] and we can send you the unzipped files.

How do I download my files?

To download your files, make sure you are logged into the Etsy account that you used to purchased the planner. Go to: https://www.etsy.com/your/purchases. You can also access the page by clicking on the drop down menu on your account (the down arrow beside your profile photo on the upper right side of the Etsy header) and clicking the “Purchases” tab.

Find your order from AtHomeWithLittlesCo, click on “View Downloads” (to the right of the order) and you will be taken to the downloads page where you can find the PDF files associated with your planner.

Download your PDF and open. The PDF file is hyperlinked. Just click on the planner/files that you would like to download and it will take you to a Google Drive link where you can download your files.

If you purchased your products as a guest on Etsy, you can find your files in the email sent to the address that you used to purchase your files. Look for an email from “[email protected]”. (Gmail users, don’t forget to check the “Updates” or “Promotions” tab incase the email landed there instead of your primary email tab).

If you still have an issue downloading your files, contact us at [email protected] and we can help you out.

Is there a limit to how many pages I can add to my planner?

No.

The beauty of digital planners is that you can add as many or as little pages as fits your planning style and not be bogged down by the weight.

Keep in mind, however, that the more pages you add, the bigger your file gets. Bigger files may cause your planner to start to lag.

Why don’t the hyperlinks work?

Most notetaking apps have two modes – a “write” mode and a “read” mode. Hyperlinks work while you are on the “read” mode.

To click on hyperlinks on Goodnotes 5 (or other notetaking apps), you will need to make sure that your app is on “read” mode. You can toggle between “write” and “read” mode on Goodnotes 5 by tapping the pencil icon on the upper right side of the Goodnotes toolbar.

Can I use a planner insert without the planner?

The planner inserts were designed to be used with the planner.

However, there is nothing stopping you from using the inserts without the planner.

Feel free to use them as a stand alone planning page or print them out and use with a pen. Keep in mind that the tabs will not work if you use the insert without the planner.

Can I access the planner/notebook/journal on my phone?

Yes.

As long as you download the PDF notetaking app on all your devices, the digital planner/notebook/journal will be accessible on all devices.

Keep in mind that most phone screens are smaller than tablet screens and may be difficult to write on.

Can I type on the digital planners/notebooks/journals?

What devices and apps work well with your products?

While our planners were designed to be used on an iPad with the Goodnotes 5 app, they will also work on most Android or Windows tablet devices. The main requirement is that your device can use a PDF markup app.

We recommend Goodnotes 5 for iPad users.

For Android users, we like Xodo.

Our planners are also compatible with most pdf markup apps like Notability, Noteshelf, etc.

You can use the planners/notebooks on the PC with the Xodo app or on a Mac with the Goodnotes 5 app. However, we recommend using the files primarily on your tablet with a stylus so that it looks and feels more like a paper and pen planner.

Is there a way to try your planner before buying?

We have a one-week mini planner where you can try digital planning for free. We also send you the basics of digital planning.

What do I need to get started?

You will need an iPad or tablet, a pdf mark up app (Goodnotes 5 is our favorite for iPad users, Xodo for Android users), a digital planner pdf file.

A stylus makes your life easier but it isn’t required since you can type on your planner instead of writing.

What is a digital planner?

A digital planner is just like a paper and pen planner that is designed to be used on an iPad or tablet. Digital planners come in the form of PDF files that you upload into a PDF mark up app. On the app, you can use the digital planner like you would a traditional paper planner.
